Lost in the woods, a weary traveler stumbled upon a great horned bird sitting on a bush covered with red berries. Encouraged by the bird’s knowing gaze the man picked a berry and chewed it, then overcome by an extraordinary euphoria and clear vision of his path, he walked all night, returning home with tales of the strange bird and a pocketful of magic berries. Smooth and rich with complex layers of coffee, chocolate, bourbon and dark malts, this rich ale is brewed for early birds and night owls alike.

BREWER’S NOTES

This beer began with Boris, our much-loved Bourbon-barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout. We always knew it would stand up to "big coffee" and so we set about blending different varieties until we settled on a particular Colombian roast from our good friends at Timbertrain. We then used Boris to make a huge batch of cold brew and the result is Boris Arabica, a lovely marriage of richness and complexity highlighting the coffee within layers of chocolate, peat smoke, oak, vanilla, and dark malts.
